JAYPEE GROUP: Owner and Founder

Jaiprakash Gaur is an Indian entrepreneur. He founded and, until his retirement in 2010, was the chairman of Jaypee Group, a conglomerate with a heavy emphasis on engineering and construction (particularly for infrastructure and power projects), cement, and hydropower production. In 2012 he was ranked by Forbes magazine as the 70th-richest person in India, with an estimated net worth of US$855 million. Gaur has been associated with the construction industry for more than five decades. The Jaypee Group is an Indian conglomerate  based in Noida, India. It is involved in well diversified infrastructure conglomerate with business interests in Engineering & Construction, Power, Cement, Real Estate, Hospitality, Expressways, IT, Sports & Education (not-for-profit). In November 2017 the Supreme Court of India barred the directors from selling their assets.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals is a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Mumbai, India that was founded in 1977 by Gracias Saldanha as a generic drug and active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturer; he named the company after his two sons. The company initially sold its products in India, Russia, and Africa. The company went public in India in 1999, and used some of the proceeds to build its first research facility. Saldanha's son Glenn took over as CEO in 2001, having returned to India after working at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. By 2008 Glenmark was the fifth biggest pharmaceutical company in India.

Ajay Piramal is an Indian businessman. In 2017, Forbes, estimated his net worth to be US $5.6 Billion. He leads the Piramal Group, a diversified conglomerate with a presence across 100 cities. Under his leadership the Piramal Group evolved from a textile centric business to a US$ 7.5 billion conglomerate with diversified business interests across pharmaceuticals, packaging, financial services and real estate. The Piramal Group is a diversified global business conglomerate, which has presence across various sectors such as healthcare, life sciences, drug discovery, healthcare information management, specialty glass packaging, financial services and real estate. Ajay Piramal is the chairman of the Piramal Group.

CADILA HEALTHCARE: Owner and Founder

Rashikbhai Patel was the founder of Cadila Healthcare. Cadila Healthcare is an Indian pharmaceutical company headquartered at Ahmedabad in Gujarat state of western India. The company is the fourth largest pharmaceutical company in India, with INR 54.7 Billion revenue (2015). It is a significant manufacturer of generic drugs.

CIPLA: Owner and Founder

Dr. Khwaja Abdul Hamied’ was an Indian nationalist and anti-imperialist scientist who founded Cipla, India's oldest pharmaceutical company in 1935. His son, Yusuf Hamied is an Indian scientist and billionaire businessman, the former chairman of Cipla. He headed the company after him for the next 52 years. Cipla Limited is an Indian multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, headquartered in Mumbai, India. Cipla primarily develops medicines to treat respiratory, cardiovascular disease, arthritis, diabetes, weight control and depression; other medical conditions.

DR. REDDY'S LABORATORIES: Owner and Founder

Kallam Anji Reddy was an Indian entrepreneur in the pharmaceutical industry, the founder-chairman of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, which he established in 1984, and chairman of Dr Reddy's Foundation (DRF), the corporate social responsibility arm of the group, established 1996. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri in 2001 and later with the Padmabhushan for his contribution to the Indian pharmaceutical industry. He was a member of the Indian Prime Minister's Council on Trade and Industry. Dr. Reddy's Laboratories is an Indian multinational pharmaceutical company based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Dr. Reddy's manufactures and markets a wide range of pharmaceuticals in India and overseas. The company has over 190 medications, 60 active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for drug manufacture, diagnostic kits, critical care, and biotechnology products.

LUPIN: Owner and Founder

Desh Bandhu Gupta was an Indian billionaire businessman, the founder and chairman of Lupin Limited, a multinational pharmaceutical company. Lupin Limited is a transnational pharmaceutical company based in Mumbai. It is the seventh-largest company by market capitalization; and the 10th-largest generic pharmaceutical company by revenue globally.

The Torrent Group worth USD 2.8 billion is a group of companies in India founded by the late Uttambhai Nathalal Mehta, and run by his sons, Sudhir and Samir Mehta. AUROBINDO PHARMA: Owner and Founder

P.V. Ramprasad Reddy is an Indian businessman, billionaire and co-founder of Aurobindo Pharma along with K. Nityananda Reddy. On the 2016 Forbes list of Indian billionaires, P.V was ranked 27 in India and 688 in world with a net worth of US$2.5 billion. The World Pharmaceutical Frontiers announced him one of the top thirty five influential people in the industry of pharmaceutical in 2008. Aurobindo Pharma Limited is a pharmaceutical manufacturing company headquartered in HITEC City, Hyderabad, India. The company manufactures generic pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients. The company’s area of activity includes six major therapeutic/product areas: antibiotics, anti-retrovirals, cardiovascular products, central nervous system products, gastroenterologicals, and anti-allergics. The company markets these products in over 125 countries. Its marketing partners include AstraZeneca and Pfizer.
