TVS GROUP: Owner and Founder

Thirukkurungudi Vengaram Sundaram Iyengar was an Indian industrialist and automobile pioneer. In 1911, he founded T. V. Sundaram Iyengar & Sons, a bus company which later diversified into automobile production and emerged as the parent company of the TVS Group. With his humble beginning as a lawyer, he grew into one of the most successful industrialists of his time. The Flagship Company of the group is TVS Motors established by his son T.S. Doraiswamy. He laid foundation for road transport industry in the erstwhile Madras Presidency through the states first bus service. The TVS group he thus started now extends from motor industry, autoservices to financial services.

TVS Group is one of Indias largest diversified industrial conglomerate with its principal headquarters located in Madurai and international hradquarters in Chennai. It has its presence across 129 countries with 73 holding group companies. The largest and most visible subsidiary is TVS Motor Company, the third-largest two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturers in India. TVS Group, with group revenue of more than US$ 10 billion, is an automotive conglomerate company, specialized in manufacturing of two-wheeler, three-wheeler, auto-electricals components, hardware electronics, high tensile fasteners, die casting products, dealership business, brakes, wheels, tyres, axles, seating systems, fuel injection components, electronic and electrical components and many more.
